Dear Members

The ALLA National Executive Committee (NEC) are continually striving  for ways to keep you informed of developments relevant to your
profession and your professional association.

To date, the President of the Association has prepared and emailed via  this listserv a quarterly newsletter. However, we feel that there is
room for improvement in the speed, frequency and format that we keep  members up to date on activities and developments, and also provide a  better forum for discussion and feedback.

It has therefore been decided to move the quarterly Presidents newsletter to more regular and shorter updates via our ALLA Blog
http://www.alla.asn.au/alla-blog

The Blog has been around for a while, but has experienced little  contributions to date. The blog is a members-only benefit and allows for shorter and more frequent updates as well as a forum for discussion and  feedback via the comments section.

If you still prefer to receive an email, you can subscribe to receive  new blog posts by selecting "Subscribe to blog updates" in the top  right-hand-corner of the blog.

The blog will also be used by our National Publishers' Liaison, Lianne  Forster-Knight to post updates.

Please do take the time to have a look at the blog posts to date, and  we would love to see some participation from members in the way of
comments. Please also subscribe to the blog updates if you still prefer  emails, or keep an eye out for links to new blog posts via the ALLA
Twitter (@AustLawLibAssoc) and LinkedIn group.

On behalf of the NEC, I hope you enjoy future blog posts and we look  forward to your feedback and comments!!
